What kind of mail are you checking - on an Exchange server, or a POP3 server to an ISP?
For a POP3 mail server, just go into Tools.. Services.. Highlight your mail information service.. Click Properties.. go to the Server tab.. type your password in the Password box under Account Name.. click on Remember Password.. OK all the way out.
For an Exchange server, it depends on your OS, whether you're connecting locally or remotely, if there's a VPN, etc.
