I'd say no.
Most tranny's are doing it for the end behavior. It's all about sex. Not tricking a man to have sex with them, per se, but it is still a purely sexual deviance, in my book. There are always exceptions, Eddie Izzard comes to mind immediately, but I think on a whole your friend doesn't fit into the pigeon hole.
