i assume it is because they think of a hotdog as some sort of phallic symbol, thus not wanting to seem "gay", they say they eat it from the middle? i suppose to confirm this belief, you should ask the same people how they eat a banana. from the end or the middle. shrug.

i've always assumed that the hotdog was made to be eaten from the ends and not the....middle? thats how i eat it...from the ends.
