Things I learned this weekend:
I learned Daryl Hall has the this sorta monthly webcast thing of concerts from his homes. The one above features part of an awesome episode with KT Turstall. You can get all of them at his website; they are really good. Just google Daryl's House.
I learned that a 60 year old house is tougher than a 3 year old car. Insurance came out, looked at my house and called it good. On the one hand, I sorta wanted a new roof; on the other hand, damn, that's one tough little house.
I learned that in a battle between a lawnmower and a Malibu solar garden light, lawnmower wins. Decisively.
I learned that for some reason, someone keeps putting leaves and junk into my mailbox. I have not, however, learned why.
I learned I really like the Nissan Altima. My next car next year? Perhaps. Sweet ride. I also learned the difference between 2 car dealers selling the same product. One doesn't want to talk to the guy in the Hawaiian shirt and shorts sitting in the 26,000 dollar car. Yet another one, part of a family of dealers we've bought oh, 4 cars from, will keep my business for a long damn time.
I learned that 4 year olds with fevers are really surreal creatures.
So it was a very educational weekend.
You go have a day.
