Only General Motors would listen to a guy who was about to graduate from an engineering school. So they flew me out to Dearborn, Michigan and let me tour the Advanced Styling Studio. BTW, there were only six stylists there at the time. They wanted me to refine my skills and take a two year course at their design school if I wanted that job. But I was too tired from 5 years at Drexel. So I dropped the idea. There was a downturn in the economy a few years later and I am not sure if i would have been out of a job there.

I got subsequent jobs working for the Navy and ended up working for NJDOT as a spec writer for highway equipment. I absolutely loved that job. I guess I didn't know what was best for me when I was younger.
