I hate to sound jerky and I know how much the big three mean financially to the US but I worked briefly for a dealership and I don't know of a bigger den of thieves than car salesmen and their brethren. They know we're screwed when it comes to buying a car. They rip us off any way they can (and they do) and the worse off you are financially the worse they treat you. Could it be bad for the economy to lose a few dealerships? Probably. Would I lose any sleep over some slimeballs losing their jobs? Not at all.
