If he was not at fault, there should be no way HIS insurance company should increase his rate. If they did, then he's using the wrong insurance company to start with.

BTW.. if your insurance is handling things, then why would his insurance company even get involved? (since your comapany is going to repair him in full...)

But honestly on a side note... for $75 worth of damage, I'd probably pay that out of pocket and get a signed agreement from him so that he wouldn't come back later lookin' for more money, especially if $75 is less than your deductible on your insurance. Chances are, it's one less strike against your insurance company for raising your rates due to you filing a claim against them.
