i was advised that when you file a dispute, the credit bureau contacts the company that has the negative report filed against you. it is then up to the company to produce proof of the event. if they don't provide the proof, then it's supposed to come off automatically within like a month.
if they're refusing to remove it from your report, then they should know who it is that's filing this. you should be able to get this information from them.
