Depends on what you're doing with it. If I remember correctly a majority of webservers run either Linux or BSD (both are Unix-like).

Linux is awesome. I haven't tried Windows 7 yet and I see no reason to do so. My XP dual boot works fine for me, but I really only boot into XP when I need to do something specific. I spend 85-95% of my time in Linux.
