So, i'm taking this hard project class on Software Engineering... I've been working my arse off for the past 10 weeks(i only get 4-5 hours of sleep avg now
it sucks), making all sorts of documents, creating a design, etc for a database/webapplication... i volunteered for one of the harder tasks, since the others in my group didn't have a clue how to implement it and i had a bit more experience...and as i'm putting away in the wee hours of the morning, i'm suddenly struck by this simple realization - our design is crap, and it would've been SO much easier if we designed our tables another way... unfortunatly, the final product is due next week, and there's no way we can possibly make changes now. which means that my weekend fun is gonna consist of desperately trying to figure out how to make everything work, using some creative hacking and SQL statements paragraphs long... and this is while i'm also cramming for my finals next week *sob* i just have to make it another 6 months, and then i'm graduated and free of all this school crap... that is my only motivation right now...
