try signing onto aim express(aka ghetto aim) at
http://www.aol.com and see if your account works there... just add people to your list and see if they go online... if no one is one, well it's probably aol's fault. so i'd say wait a few hours and see if your account is fixed... if not, then email them. one of my friends had a problem where they couldn't sign on for a while and they emailed them and got it fixed... so best of luck :-)
