A7M266 PCI Problems

I finally made the jump from Intel to AMD and went for a A7M266 + DDR2100 + AMD1.4 combination and boy have I had problems.

In Win2000, all PCI devices (except for the Ethernet card) are detected and prompted for drivers at startup. But when you try to install the drivers, I get a 'The data is invalid' error no matter what PCI device I try to install. I have tried installing 2 different types of soundcard as well as a second PCI VGA card to set up a dual monitor system. I have the latest BIOS and drivers and I have tried plugging 1 new PCI card at a time but the problem persists.

Under Win98SE, I have no problems at all with the same devices!

HELP!
