His post in the "Thread of the Day" was well thought and written, and called out no one. Either Almighty Oz can read minds or someone went running to GAM like a baby.

That was the best thread of the day and am sorry I missed a chance to post in it before it was locked down faster than the Rayburn Building after gunshots in the parking garage. :wow:

After reading it, I gotta assume he was calling out Nickel w/o overtly doing so. But that's JMHO.

btw...your second comment was pretty funny. :heh:

I have a general idea, but I don't think it's a good idea to press it further. Otherwise, I foresee this in this thread's future:

In the other thread:

Well, he was banned previously and was allowed back on. However, there are...elements...here that cannot (or will not) debate with anything but attacks, whether direct or not. Canta didn't take those (in)direct attacks as gracefully as those elements would have liked, some love to start crap and then be treated with kid gloves.

With the previous run-ins he has had with certain people, if you think about it, you will know who he meant when he said ...elements.... If you still have a problem with it, feel free to send GAM a PM about it.

people are too sensitive... i thought it was a little harsh, but i do applaud the mods for explaining themselves.

Thanks for the explanation.

People are too crude sometimes (they forget that others on the board are people and they say things that would probably get them smacked in the face if in person... ) on this "faceless medium" we call the internet.

The reaction could be seen as harsh, but then again, some folks only understand "harsh" when they are forcing their opinions down other people's throats and testifying them as absolute facts where no other "facts" or opinons can exist without major conflict. (this is a general statement about the current attitudes on the board... not an attack on any particular person.)

I too applaud the mods for giving an explaination... so that folks truly can see where the lines are drawn. However I doubt that it will make folks any kinder to one another.

:stupid:

I've pointed that out time and time again. I really wish people would be nicer or at least respect each other instead of thinking the worst of anyone whom they've never met.

If anybody were to think that I would say anything different to their faces as I do on here when debating, they are mistaken. I am not easily put off or intimidated by people, especially when I have the facts to back myself up.

As far as my TO, I wasn't baiting any certain individual. Take it as you will, but assumptions are dangerous.

Dude, it wasn't directed specifically at you or anyone else. It's just a trend I've noticed over the years that has gotten people in trouble. I just find it annoying when people attack me over the phone, the computer, etc., knowing full well that they wouldn't show that lack of respect in real life.

Not everything is directed at you. It's all cool, man. I was referring to everyone, as I'm sure DF was.

Well, "Lance Armstrong Wannabe" works for the first (successful) and last (addicted to biking) criteria, but fails miserably on the other two (nice guys with nice families).
