I have my work laptop and its setup on that domain. How can i get it to work on my home network (workgroup) without taking it off my work domain.

I don't think it's possible to have a domain and workgroup account running at the same time. You can have a separate account that works on your home workgroup, but other than that, I don't think it's possible.

Nope, not possible. You'd have to remove the machine from the domain in order to add it to a workgroup. For security reasons, a machine is not allowed to be a member of more than one domain or workgroup at a time.
However, you don't necessarily have to make the machine a member of your workgroup to share information. You can still connect to resources using 'connect as' & enter your credentials on the other machine.
For example - if you have a share on your home machine called cdrive, on your work machine you can connect to it by going to (in Windows Explorer) Tools.. Map network drive. Choose whatever drive letter you want, and in folder, type \\machinename\cdrive. Click on the 'connect using a different user name' link, and enter your logon credentials for your home machine. **IMPORTANT - if you're using the administrator account and running XP, the password cannot be blank for this to work. Windows disables sharing if the administrator account is using a blank password.
