Pretty good deal here. Rarely do you see a big name brand DVD player for so
little. Sony has a $50 mail in rebate on this DVD player until 3/31/01.

<li>Get the DVD player here for $178 plus shipping. <b><a href="http://www.technetamerica.com/cgi-bin/technetamerica/SNDVPS360" target="_blank">TECHNETAMERICA</a></b></li>
<li>Send in the $50 mail in rebate. <b><a href="http://www.gotapex.com/deals/images/sony.pdf" target="_blank">REBATE</a></b></li>
<li><b><font color="#CE0E0E">Update:</font> </b>If you want the Sony
DVP-S560D, the next model up with an integrated Dolby Digital 5.1 decoder,
video & center channel EQ, and a bunch of other features, it`s only $165
plus shipping after rebate! <b><a href="http://www.technetamerica.com/cgi-bin/technetamerica/SNDVPS560D" target="_blank">DVP-S560D</a></b></li>
<li><b><font color="#CE0E0E">Update 2:</font> </b>I`ve gotten reports that
TechNetAmerica has been STEALING the UPC symbols off the boxes before
shipping them out. I`ve searched their website and there is no
disclaimer about them doing this. All that is stated is: "<i>All
products offered carry a full USA warranty and are brand new unless
otherwise stated. We are not responsible for manufacturers rebate`s .
Any and all rebates must be taken up with maufacturer.</i>" However,
products with UPC symbols removed should not be classified as new
products. It`s just like ripping the front cover off a book. The
manufacturer tends to have very strict guidelines on what should happen in
these instances. I would take it up with them first, and if that doesn`t
work, then with Sony as
well as their local BBB. <b><a href="http://www.bbb.org/bbbcomplaintsexp/ConsumerForm.asp?ZIP=10303&BBBID=0121&MaxTextLength=2030" target="_blank">BBB</a></b>
