In summary: I have several devices trying to use IRQ 11 and I can't stop them from using the same IRQ. I've tried doing it through Windows 2000 and BIOS. Here's the long story....
I recently bought the following:

Abit KT7-RAID
AMD T-Bird 800Mhz
IBM 30.7 gig HDD (IDE)
SoundBlaster Live! Value (PCI)
300Watt PS (HiPro)

This was an upgrade. I installed it with the following:
192 MB PC-100
10 gig WD HDD (IDE)
Plextor 8432T CDRW (IDE)
Pioneer 6x DVD (IDE)
Linksys Ethernet card (PCI)
CL 3DBlaster TNT2Ultra video (AGP)
USR 33.6 modem (don't even use it, but it's in there) (ISA)

First of all, I am running Windows 2000. Now, I installed most of the new hardware without a hitch. However, i noticed my computer to start locking up. I don't have the CPU O/C. I'm not doing any super strenuous activity. It just locks up, usually when I'm downloading something off the internet with the network card (on a university ethernet). The REALLY weird thing is that my soundcard, videocard, and ethernet card all use the same IRQ 11. I didn't think this was at all possible. However, when I attempt to change it through Win2k, it won't let me. I then tried to change it through the BIOS...still nothing. I even tried to disable both my serial ports and USB controller in some hope that the video card, soundcard, or ethernet card would wise up and take a FREE IRQ. No deal.

Does anyone know some way I could solve this problem? Thank you very much in advance for any help!

Turn off ACPI in the bios and under Device Manager under Computer switch from ACPI to standard computer. Fair warning though everything will be redetected again and problems may come up. Its better to install win2000 fresh after turning off ACPI in the bios.
