As you can see the Dell is a better deal with the better processor and CD-RW. The only thing that the Gateway offers more than the Dell is the AOL membership. You may say that building a computer is a better deal. Yes it is, but not everyone can do it. Let me warn you, if you build a system for a friend or family member, YOU instantly become their tech support for LIFE. Trust me, it`s no fun to fix someone`s computer all the time. Don`t need the LCD monitor? Get the Dimension 2100 for just $499 after $100 rebate!
