As you know, Dell doesn`t manufacture their own tubes, so their "branded" monitors are all re-tagged version of other monitors. This is good because you can get high quality monitors for 20% off and shipped free to you! Here are some CRT monitors. Not as easy on the eyes as LCDs, but the colors are more vibrant and you get more screen area for your money. Those doing graphic design should consider getting an aperture grill CRT screen. DELL

LCD monitors are awesome. I have been using one for almost a year now and I really can`t go back. Actually, I have a 22 inch CRT and a 20.1 inch LCD side by side, and the LCD is MUCH easier on the eyes. The color isn`t as rich or saturated, but the pixel-by-pixel refresh on the LCD let`s you quickly forget about all that. If your eyes hurt easily or if you just stare at a screen for most of the day, then the LCD is for you. LCDs pretty much have a fixed resolution (you can go lower, but it looks bad), so keep that in mind when you are purchasing one.

Here`s Dell`s 17 inch LCD, which is actually bigger than a CRT 17 inch screen.

Dell 1702FP 17 inch LCD 1280x1024 for $749.00 - $149.80 discount = $599.20 Shipped! (10 value) Search for 320-4106

Here`s Dell`s 20.1 inch LCD screen and it is VERY nice. It has an optimal resolution of 1600x1200, 250 nits of brightness, 350:1 contrast ratio, 25ms TOTAL response time (sweet!), Analog VGA, Digital DVI, S-Video, and Composite inputs! It`s expensive, but you will not regret spending the cash once you hook it up.

Dell 2000FP 20.1 inch LCD 1600x1200 for $1699.00 - $339.80 discount = $1359.20 Shipped! ($45 value) Search for 320-4105
