they need to loosen up their licensing requirements otherwise they'll be doing the betamax redux revue til who knows when...

at least in Japan/asian countries it is. I was talking w/ an electronics engineer from Singapore that works for the company and he said they have much higher capacity media types that are relatively cheap and becoming much more popular over there...

I still love MD though :D

Completely agree with the Betamax analogy. I don't know what the hell they're thinking, but it seems the company doesn't learn from historical case study (Apple, anybody?). I love my MD, I just wonder why the hell they haven't made more of a push to expand the market.
