TigerDirect.com has a killer deal on a Compaq Evo W8000 workstation. This would make a great box and it`s CHEAP! It`s only got one Intel Xeon 1.7GHz CPU in there, but it`s got the extra socket for the 2nd CPU on the motherboard. Here are the specs:

Intel® Xeon™ 1.7GHz Processor

Intel® 860 Chipset

18.2GB Ultra160 SCSI Hard Drive (Seagate X15 15,000 RPM Hard Drive!)

48x CD-ROM

3.5" Floppy Drive

Onboard SoundBlaster 128 Audio

Onboard Intel® Pro/100+ Management Adapter

Internat Keyboard

3- Button Mouse

Dual Windows 2000 Pro-NT 4.0

Warranty

3 Years Parts

3 Years Labor

3 Year On-Site

Seven expansion slots (six available, two 64-bit/66-MHz PCI, four 32-bit/33-MHz PCI, one AGP Pro 4X)

Seven bays (four available)

500 Watt Power Supply!

Not only is this a pretty sweet system, but the case is also pretty great. The hard drive is none other than the speedy Seagate X15 15,000 RPM SCSI drive. I have this particular drive and it s smoking hot. The included 500 Watt power supply isn`t too shabby either. It has all quality components. All it needs is a video card and some RAM. You will need to get ECC RDRAM. This probably won`t last, so get on the ball if you want it. TIGERDIRECT
