This is one of the most highly respected DVD players on the
market under $1000.* It comes with Faroudja`s DCDi deinterlacing,
the same thing that made the older DVD-RP56 so great.* The RP62 replaced the
RP56, and the RP82 is one step above it, adding a few extra features as well as
DVD-A capabilities and Coax output.* It can handle DVD-RAM as well, along with
CD-R, CD-RW, MP3`s, and WMA`s.  It also includes a Dolby Digital and DTS
decoder onboard, great for those of you with older receivers.  Here`s the
kicker:  It uses the mpeg decoder from the $500 DVD-RP91, which is an
excellent unit (the RP62 uses the old RP56`s mpeg decoder).  With the
decoder from the RP91 and the superior Faroudja deinterlacing chip (instead of
the inferior Genesis chip the RP91 uses), you`re getting the best of both
worlds.  I`m going to buy one as soon as I can convince the wife.
There`s absolutely no better player for the price.&nbsp; None.&nbsp; <b>
