U.S. can never give up on war, especially other countries wars. The U.S. always has to look bigger and badder and it has been that way since World War II. Right on, give peace a chance! How can you fight for peace, isn't that an oxymoron?!?
The US doesn't have to look bigger or badder than any other country in the world. It is bigger and badder than any other country in the world.
There are always going to be leaders, not just in this country, who profit from war and who use war as a distraction to divert the citizens attention elsewhere.

You mean like in "Wag the dog" where they used a war to cover up on the president's sex scandals?

Unfortunately, when a couple thousand people die "for the country" it is good for our economy. But can we let them "help out the economy" by killing off some citizens in a crummy war? But then again, do we have a choice whether we go to war or not? How come we can't vote on whether our country goes to war? Isn't it our choice too? Where the hell is the "we the people" part when we need it?
