great idea, chosenfool...but a lot of people aren't all that portable here on the west coast. A lot of us are students without cars or anything, but oh well. We could have the SD, the LA, and the SF parties...and connect all of them. Of course...the LA one would be the best because Apex is right here!

Halloween's on a Tuesday, so if its a party best to make
it the weekend before or after.

Where's it going to be? I was thinking of throwing some social event around that time anyway, so this could give me ample excuse. I'm in SF. Let's get a head count!

My place is small, but has garage and patio space. It would
most ideally suit a daytime, barbecue, into late evening
kinda thing. Probably wouldn't be good for anything much
later than midnight, as we'd have to bring everyone in
(damn neighbors!), where space is less ample (although it'd
be fine for stragglers who'd been partying all day...)

Better hurry up if you're going to do that! The M's will be out of the playoffs in about a week or so! The SF idea makes more sense if you wanna see a playoff game - they DO have 2 teams playing! (Although the A's will be out of it right quick when the Yanks finally get off their losing asses and spank 'em) . . . hehe

Wow, that would be fan-freakin'-tastic. My favorite team, the Vancouver Grizz, are playing opening night, and they say Swift has been throwing down some absolutely disgusting dunks. I believe he kneed Ike Austin in the head the other day catching an alley-oop. That's pretty high.

Why not have a party in the virtual nature of Got|Apex. All you need is something to munch on and an audio communication setup that all of us can hook up to and chat as well as have subgroups to chat with.

The audio part can be handled by the new product for group chatting -- Sidewinder GameVoice by Microsoft.
