Dope Wars : NOT SO SUCKAGE!!!

Dope Wars is the best little game to play when you're just kicking it and doing other things on the computer (so much better than solitaire)! I love this game.

Got to say I love that game. Just make sure you register it....makes the game a lot funnier. You guys part of a cartel yet? If we get enough people playing we can start a GotApex Cartel. :D

my high score is only 47 million, and that is on the 30 day game. My next highest score, which I got right after i put up my first post about drug wars (earlier this afternoon) is 24 million. This game is so so beautiful...

what extra benefits does registering give you? are the only new options cartels (and what do you do with those?) and varying the game length?

By registering you can play 15, 30, 60, or 90 days game. It also shows if the price of the drugs went up, down, or stayed the same from the previous day. You can also pull up a price chart. You can also buy bigger weapsons (Uzi-9mm, Bazooka). I think it makes the game a lot more fun, because of the number of days you can play. If you want it registered and don't want to pay the cheap $6.95 just email me at [email protected] and I can get you a code.

i just downloaded the most recent patch and got the key from NiceMann, and it's pretty cool (although i've only played like half of a game since the upgrade...). Oh well.

I remember back in high school, some kids had Dope Wars programmed into their TI-82. Something was lacking in that version, maybe speed.

hey jerk (j/k), i was one of the guys who helped to transfer that program onto the TI-82 programming language. I still think it was one of the best games we ever moved over to the TI "operating system". My copy ran well enough...

i did it! i didn't think i could do it, but i just did it, and it was only like the third game i've played all the way through! My new high score is $57,155,655! Woohoo!!! That's it, if we make a cartel...I'm running this MFer! My new goal is 100 million. Who wants to come on a run to columbia with me?

damn it; i was on my way to a new high score (21 million dollars by the 21st day, and then i bought 10o units of cocaine at $16,765 on like the 24th day, and none of the next places i visited had cocaine to buy or sell...so i ended the game still carrying 100 units of cocaine with 31 million dollar in the bank! If not for those 5-6 days of no trading, i could have probably made at least 47 million again...damn!

yeah since i got it last week my palm V has been returned to its cradle at 20% battery every night. so far my highest score is 31,684,178

i used to sit down at my computer, start up a few movie downloads, start up realjukebox, and then settle in for a nice long game of AOE2, but recently I have replaced AOE2 with Dope Wars, even though I've only played it like a dozen times since I downloaded it. It seems like I've been playing it so much more for some reason.

Cartals are just for groups of people to compare scores. Its not like crackwars.com where you fight other places. Nice thing to setup so that you can see if people really hit $122,272,256 or not. (j/k) :P

Hey, I'll join the cartel if you'll tell me how to do that stuff. I'm all over comparing scores, even though my highest have been erased because i needed to re-install my game three days after i installed it (this sounds like such BS, but it isn't). I'm sure once I get back into playing, I'm sure I can get back up to those scores easily.

I am totally addicted to dope wars. I'll let you in on a little secret. I played for years and until recently I thought I had the game all figured out. I also thought that a score of more than about $40 million was impossible without using the cheat codes. (Anyone can have huge scores using cheats) But last week I found a new strategy and have scored as high as $98 million on a legit, no-cheat, 30 day game.

Not bragging...just fact. I'm just wonder who else has figured it out.
