I usually check out pricewatch to see what the price of barebones packages are running. They have a site called http://www.a2zcomp.com which lists various barebones packages. I typed in 950 Mhz Thunderbird, one of their cheaper motherboards and cases and a floppy. The package costs approx. $420. It's not a 1Ghz machine, but it doesn't seem like a bad deal. Their memory and hard drives are competitively priced, too, if you need a complete machine.NOTE: Maximum PC recently had an article concerning cooling in these high end machines> It said that the placement of fans is very critical.
