I know this is a newbie question, but what are the differences between the Athlons, Durons, Thunderbirds?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The order of raw power goes Duron < Athlon < Thunderbird.

This is analagous to Intel's Celeron < Pentium III < Coppermine architecture hierarchy.

T-Birds and Durons are AMD's newest chip. The Duron has some of its cache disabled to make it a bit slower. They both fit on Socket-A boards.
