USB zip 100 Problem

I have a usb zip 100 drive. Everytime I try to copy a large file (30meg+) to it, it locks up my computer. I updated the software, but still no deal. Can anyone help?

Are you running Win98 or an earlier OS? Win95b's usb extensions still have trouble with some hardware. Also, take a look at your drivers. If you are at all unsure of their quality, pick up new ones from Iomega.

Are you letting Windows handle your virtual memory settings or did you change it somewhere along the way to your preference. If your swap file runs out of space it could hang your system along with a bunch of other reasons.
