I just bought one on eBay.
Seemed like a good deal and all the reviews said it was a great car.
Now my problem is shipping it from Houston to the SF Bay area.
Any suggestions?
Anything I should do prior to closing the sale?
Thanks so much,
TLG

Escrow?
Mechanic check?
I'd check out rail services, sometimes they can be cheaper between certain cities (it's a real crapshoot). Especially with that brawny V8.
Congrats, though. How much did you pay?

I was thinking about a AAA check or something so he didn't ship the car only to find it was bad.
Will have to find an escrow place that can handle it.
Have already been getting bids on shipment and cheapest is $650 which sounds good. Others are about 700-800 for door to door.
I paid $10.9k which I think was really good even with shipping. (below wholesale KBB by about $500 net)

Not bad! I assume there are about 70K miles or so? Nicely done...I love hearing someone get a good deal on a car.
Actually, I was going to buy a new Tahoe once I sell my Durango, and I just heard of a friend of a friend, who's in the Navy (Marines?) who got the same one I wanted (loaded to the hilt) for 32,500 @ 1.9%. I was going to pay the same price in cash. Those military guys get all the SERIOUS deals!

I ended up using an independant inspection firm and they found some problems, but it was mostly minor leaks (and some sludge in the engine) so I decided to go through with it anyway.
The seller agreed to knock off $400 more so that kinda sealed the deal for me.
The transport company picked up the car (I just took my chances and didn't use escrow) and now it is suppossedly enroute (I have a tracking # :-) At present it is still in Houston though.
Is it worth getting all the minor leaks fixed now?
The brakes are at about 20%. Should I get them done IMMEDIATELY or wait a few thousand miles?
Would I be better off going to a small time shop since I already have a report of what is wrong or should I stick with an Infiniti dealer?
Thanks
