Im interesting in adding more RAM to my comp, and i was wondering if it is possible to mix pc150 with pc100 ram. If it is possible, would i be taking advantage of everything the pc150 is offering? Thanx in advance!!

Yes its possible to mix and match ram. I use pc100 and pc133 memory in one of my systems. No you wouldn't be taking adavatage of everything the pc150 offers.

the ram will only run at your bus speed. therefore, if you have pc133 or pc150 ram in a motherboard with a pc100 bus speed, the ram will run at 100 as opposed to the higher speeds.

I have one 128MB RAM chip, PC 133.....I am interested in buying more RAM....will there be any problems or conflicts if I buy RAM from another manufacturer at PC 133 speed? Also, how can I check what brand or type my RAM is? Is it listed under "device manager"? (P.S. I'm running windows 2000)

device manager will not say who the manufacturer your ram is...

the best way to find out is:

take off the case, check it out.. your 128MB of SDRAM @ 133MHZ probably has a seek time of 7.5 nanoseconds.. look for a manufacturer tag..

the only other way is to contact the company that built your PC... have the serial/model number at hand.

peace..

mix and match any brands... keep the specs the same
