A good video clarifier that allows you to remove macrovision annoyances on video tapes and possibly DVDs. Made by Emerson under some US patent, requires 4 AA batteries.

I'm going to bet my bootie this puppy doesn't do DVD... the MPAA would be having a field day with it if it did, just like they did with DeCSS.

I have this same exact item. And no, it doesn't do DVD's. I bought it about 2-3 (probably more) years ago for only $30...

Everything on Cyberrebate is overpriced. They make their money two ways:

1: They hold on to your payment for at least 6 weeks before they give you a rebate. You can make a decent amount of interest in 6 weeks, especially when people are paying three times what an item usually costs.

2: I suspect that a lot of rebate submissions are rejected. I got my check back just yesterday, but there is A TON of fine print in the forms. If you don't STAPLE your UPC to the rebate form, you are rejected. If you do not put your order number on your envelope under the return address, you are rejected and you get stuck paying $100 for something that you might have been able to buy for $20.

Cyberrebate is legit, but read everything four times before you send out your rebate submission.
