the Bx is a matured chipset so its both Stable, Reliable and it Preforms well. But personally I'd rather have the Asus A7V just cause its newer and a better value. I'm sure the others could give you more info
Asus CUSL2 is the best 815(e) motherboard out.
Asus's A7V is the motherboard I would get if I were building an AMD system.
As hapoo said the BX is the king for stability, reliability and performance.
Why go for a PIII 733Mhz Peter when you can get a PIII 700 or 750 and overclock that bad boy? The thing is with a Pentium III your AGP videocard will be running greatly out of spec at 89Mhz. The normal AGP speed is 66Mhz. The vast majority of GeForce 2's, Voodoo 3's and Matrox G400's will have no problems running at that high AGP speed. Othhr videocards like TNT 2's won't work at that high AGP speed. So if you go for a PIII system get a 100Mhz system bus speed cpu and then overclock. You can overclock the thunderbird also.
Intel is cutting prices soon on its processors. AMD just cut theirs last week.
AMD cpu's give you more of a bang for the buck. I would give the nod to getting the A7V and thunderbird over the Pentium III and BX motherboard.

just one thing, cubx does support ata100 even if is not written anywhere.
CMD released new drivers that added this feature.
Not that you'll notice a difference anyway.
CUBX should go with a 100fsb cpu
My 700E runs at 980 very stable.
One thing to note is that the CUBX's CMD controller has been more problematic than Asus's A7V ATA100 Promise controller.

it still has problem in win2k.
apparently cmd is working on a new driver that will solve all the issues and might add raid support.
pretty stable and fast in WinME though, with latest drivers.
