cool. I could make out the little pond just S. of our house, and see where the trees were cleared for the oil pipline to run. Also could see my neighbours 1/4 mi. grass airstrip and his two hangars just 3/4 mi. south of our house!... couldn't zoom in any though, and i think the pick was taken before we built our house.

aaaaaaaaaaaaagh..its easy to convert a photo to black and white..SILLY FOOL. It's the EXACT THING..check it out. TRUST me..I just put a random address in for binghamton ny and the susquehanna river is visible in the pic..AS BLUE ..the susquehanna is no more blue than my big brown eyes..as a matter of fact its SO BROWN you would think it is straight sewage..THIS IS based on DIFFERENT MAPS..and only MAPS. NOT LIKE the FBI satellite photo's.

Yeah, I think the color is pretty accurate - when I was looking at my building, the Hudson River was visible as a rather pukish looking combo of brown and green (c: . . . so did all of New Jersey oddly enough! . . . hehe (c: . . . OK . . . cheap shot at NJ!

shit! someone give me an address that I can see decks..how come the area I live near doesnt do it??????????????????? *cry*....HEY WAIT A MINUTE..i put in a request to see JOHANNESBURG SOUTH AFRICA ..and it gave a PICTURE..but It wont zoom in or anything..now this is TOTALLY DIFFERENT than WHAT i see when I put my address in..I only get a zoom in of a colored map..check it out..is your address like the south africa one? I mean..do you get a real pic? to show you what I am seeing..put in
riverside drive binghamton new york 13905 (and look for lourdes hospital)..is it a map drawing type pic or a pic like the south africa type pic?

They could have been colored to help you distinguish the river from the land or something. but these are satalite photo's

oblong, your right. that is a pick of a streetmap thats been scanned in. (duh, the river is labled, the streets are labled, etc.

Look up zip 74075 - you get Boomer Lake, and the road that crosses the S. end is Lakeview. Then a little farter S. is the "40 N." apartments (the weird U shaped buildings) Due E. is the shopping center (due N. of the oval Highschool jogging track) where I work (Creative Labs).

tell me thats not a real arial or satelite photo...

o yeh..no question..def some kind of arial photo..but I doubt they update like real satellite photos do..lets check it out in a few hours when it should be dark and see if the show the same thing? wouldn't it be dark if it was a LIVECAM pic? My explanation for all this-due to the fact that SOME pix are in black and white-and the south african photo is in color-and the pic of my area is just a MAP photo is that the webmaster of this sight is using a huge data bank of topigraphical maps of different zones..and area codes..how hard could it be eh? thats just my opinion.

I'd like to see them define "several years." My folks have been at that house for 15+ years, and there's always been a house across the street, but on the map, it's an empty lot!!!
