The opener's 6-1/2-by-5-1/4-inch oval base has a rubber, suction bottom that sturdily adheres to any surface--to activate, simply depress the lever on back of the Wine Wizard. Wine bottles sit atop the base on an anti-slip cushion, while a key halfway up the Wizard body loosens the neck to adjust the opener to any bottle height. From there, opening is easy. Simply hold the neck of the bottle between the grips and lift the handle to lower the worm into the cork. Pull the handle down again to extract the cork, loosen the grips, and--voila!
