I got my order in at 12:01 PM. Just got my e-mail confirmation and it said the following:

Publisher out of stock

Sounds like they only had a couple of each package. I just hope they ship it soon.

it SEEMS like I got one, the Action Pack Bundle.

I set up a 1-Click Order in my profile, and that might have allowed me to get it pretty immediately after 12:00PM.

2 things;

1. my order didn't say anything about being out of stock. (Good thing)
2. I never got a confirmation email, but I did get an Order Number. (Bad thing)


You guys think it went through?

I know we say never call, but maybe a tactful one to ask when your order will ship, or something like that would work.
Don't mention the lack of a conformation email

is this Order Status: "1-Click order -- waiting to begin processing"

better, or worse than "will ship when in stock." or "backordered for 1-2 weeks"

I thought 1-Click would be faster, but maybe it just made the order processing slower in fact, and then i'll have missed the system altogether.

--> EDIT: Ok.. i think i screwed myself. The One Click ordering holds your order for 90 mins, wherein it tries to consolidate your shipping and make it cheaper for you if you buy more things. Great, but in my case, it means it didn't check inventory until 90 mins later, which means i didn't get it. Also explaining why my confirm email was 2 hours late.

Hey- didn't you already get one- greedy bastards- actually more power to you- they are bidding just SICK amounts on Ebay- I really can't beleive anyone would pay over $1G for this system which, at this point, is not even the best system out- I'd still rather have my Dreamcast with its 200 game library + on-line capability (and copy capability)than the PS2 right now.

i would say, on this one deal at least, you can call amazon because this is not a mis-price that you have to worry about them cancelling the order :D never hurt to check if you got it or not.

as a side note, i was in a meeting until 12:05, was hoping that it would end early. :bawl:

asian_panda, regarding Amazon not cancelling this, don't count on it. 2 weeks ago when Amazon had the 98 cent hardware sale, I had about 15 in stock items in my shopping cart and in the confirmation email. Slowly but surely Amazon cancelled 12 out of the 15.

But I have hope, I just received the same email saying I will get one.

dag16, you may want to reconsider, those $1000+ PS2 on ebays are a bunch of kids who didn't get their PS2s jacking around people who did. They never intend to pay. Real PS2s are going for less than $800.

you know, my guess is this.

they probably did indeed run out of stock on the item. but the time between running out, and them changing the page back to "out of stock" was too long. thus, some of us got to purchase the "backorder" of the system. but, rather than making a huge customer service deal out of this, they will take those of us who got the confirmation email that they were out of stock, and ship us their next allotted amount.

just my guess... any others?

Folks selling on Ebay are really getting trashed by kids bidding the prices up then never carrying out the purchases. I saw some guy had 3 for sale, and got got hit by these punks on all 3. One of the bidders (all have shades and 0 ratings) had a name like "nomore$foryou" or something like that.

Anyway, what other avenues for selling these are out there? I should get my bundle on the 1st or so too, and want to sell it before my kids find it.

Man, I'm happy that's happening. I know some people who purchased six just so that they could eBay them ALL. OK, if you buy two and sell one, fine, yours is free. But don't freakin buy six, although now it doesn't really matter with all these "fake bids." I'm not just saying this because I don't have one (yet), but because buying six means you're getting a bit too greedy. Just my 2 cents, i'm sure most people can care less though.

but about 2 months ago i placed an order with Toysrus.com on a bundle package just similiar to this. it has the console, dual shock 2 controller, madden 2001, ridge racer, tekken, & 2 DVDs(Spy who shagged me, jaws collector's edition). and i just got an e-mail send to me with a UPS tracking number :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

so as you can tell from the extra laughs, i am happy the way this PS2 turn out for me. there is justice after all :D
