Abit BE6-II Agp 4X Support?

I know the abit be6-2 only supports up to a 2X agp slot, is there anywayz around that? Would a bios update take care of something like that? Thanks

BX chipset motherboards like Abit's BE6-2 motherboard only support up to AGP2X. There is no way around this GrimReepr.

I wouldn't worry about not having AGP4X. AGP4X is overrated and the performance difference between AGP2X and AGP4X is minimal.

Alright, that makes me feel a whole lot better.... How about a bios update? Is that worth it?

It depends on what bios your running right now and whether the bios offers anything for you to gain by updating GrimReepr. Some bios allow you to use faster cpus with that motherboard.

You can read the last two letters on the bottom right of the first boot-up screen (with the "Energy Star" logo) to recognize what the BIOS ID number you have.

Just be warned there are 2 differnet versions of the BEII-6 each with its own bios.
