Got my Wolf contacts!

i got my contacts, woohoo! i got the wolf crazy lenses, and they look so freaking awesome! my left one is a little uncomfortable, but i'll get used to it. I'm still stoked about having them!

i think those whole eye ones are freaking ugly, but i really like mine, although there is a noticeable difficulty in focusing at close distances, and excessively lighted areas seem too bright and rather confusing...

you're right...it could be the alcohol, except that I haven't had a drink since late friday night...when I passed out on my bathroom floor, heh heh. Next time I'll have to remember not to take 4 shots of Skyy and 3 shots of Bacardi 151...in about a half hour, and all of this after a few 7&7s and other mixed drinks... So yes...I am sure that it's the contact (i'm wearing one in, and one out right now, and i can see clearly out of the eye without the contact, so it follows that the contact is to blame).

hey, if you "freeze" the 151 (or at least try to), it will condense the bacardi a little more, so the volume from one shot is actuallly about as much liquid as a shot and a quarter, so you're essentially getting as much alcohol as would be equivalent to 94.375% or 188.75 proof.

HEY! I had the contacts that look like 8 balls..LOL..but my hub got sick of me rubbing it in his face that I am a better pool player that I finally stopped wearing them..they didnt help my vision out at all-they couldnt get the prescription exact.

Technically no you can't. the evaporation point is about room temp for alcohol....it would evaporate before it even got to 100%....so you would end up with no alcohol :(....

don't make me cold-cock you upside the head, Penny. Heh heh. This time my eyes will be yellow and black instead of satanic red. It was funny, all of the girls that I was helping today kept staring into my eyes, but none of them wanted to seem rude and ask about it, so they kept staring into my eyes, and i almost felt damn sexy...until i remembered the contacts :P.

ps - one cool thing is that this hot girl from work immediately noticed that my contacts were in (and they're not glaringly obvious; most people don't immediately notice, if they notice at all) and commented on them, so i said "would you care to impress me by telling me what color my eyes are?" and she immediately responded with an abbreviated description...and then when i got off at the end of the day (about 10 minutes after she got off), she had hung around to walk back to the dorms with me and gave me her number), so maybe she's interested too...

Thats true, thats how you separate the alcohol from the other stuff, you boil it, but not in free air. You have it connected to a pipe that is cooled (liquifies the alcohol) that leads to another container that would hold the almost pure alcohol.

okay, allow me to explain coleslaw's line for you, hopper. When you boil something alcoholic and distill it, you allow the alcohol to boil off of the "compound" and you use a still or some other device to capture the alcohol that has evaporated. All of this stuff was implied by Coleslaw's line, but you have to have some sort of alcoholic or chemical experience to know about it. Personally...my high school chem teacher taught us how to turn vodka into everclear, so...that's how i know all about it.

yes i know about the still...being a material engineering student that i was...mechanical now.. what i was saying is when the new alcoholic compound that is presumably "100%" is going to partially evaporate and water will be drawn from the atmosphere when removed and placed into a new atmosphere other than that of the closed atmosphere of the still. and everclear is only about 95% so the water that is still trapped in the solution..keeps most of the alcohol from evaporating
