This is an excerpt from the latest reply from Handango regarding delivery of the m100 from the RedGorilla promo:
We have enough Palm m100s "on order", with authorized distributors, to fulfill all backorders, but have not been given an estimated time for arrival of any units.* We have been told that it could take up to 180 days or longer.* The reason for the delay is due to the strong demand for the Palm m100 exceeding the available supply.* Many large retail store chains have these units available because they purchased these units in very large quantities, thereby limiting the availability of Palm m100s to others in the marketplace.
180 DAYS?!?!

You think thats bad get a load of this:
"OfficeTool.com has partnered with Handango, the world's largest Internet marketplace for handheld computing solutions, to offer existing Red Gorilla users a $125 gift certificate. This offer will only be available to those users who signed up for the Palm m100 Promotion prior to October 1st, 2000 and DID NOT receive the equipment from Red Gorilla."
Anyone know have any comments or suggestions as to how to get a refund or just the legality of the situation.
Just dispute the charge w/ your CC, explain the situation, and forget about it all. I will never deal w/ RedGorilla.com or Handango.com after this -- their customer service is horrible and downright rude. That's why they're just another f*ckedcompany.

I have the feeling that OfficeTools taking over RedGorilla's services is going to nullify any chances of getting back the $99.95 from your CC. I sent in my claim a few days ago even after getting that e-mail, so we'll see.
I have three roomates and we all disputed the charges and every one of us has gotten refunds back. We all use different credit companies too. I don't think your CC company should give you any static over it....especially Amex...they gave the refund over the phone!

I called AMEX today to tell them that I am disputing the charge based on the fact that Red Gorilla is gone. A little while later I noticed that the site is back out there. According to an email I got the site is reopened although is isn't updated to reflect the new changes being made. Anyway, I plan to push the whole dispute thing. There site has been down for a few weeks and even now is not fully functional. Based on that alone I am hoping AMEX will agree that Red Gorilla defaulted on their side of our agreement.
