Who needs malt liquor?! What's your favorite hard liquor? I'm going to have to go with either Skyy vodka or Bacardi 151...even though I know a lot of you hate 151.

ps - i chose the sunglass smiley face because after taking shots...those are what i have to wear all day...

wow I never knew there are people who actually enjoy 151. I only see it as a good way to get myself and others drunk. I prefer to mix drinks. I also have a bottle of 30 year old scotch (I had to save up for that) at home which is also very good.

I'm with ucbstan: 151 is only a means to an end. For REAL drinking (the kind you do when you finish with the whole college alcoholism phase) is somethin' on the rocks. Me, it's bourbon, preferably Maker's Mark. Knob Creek ain't bad either.

I really don't think so. I really don't like beer so when I started drinking, that is what I would drink. A guy I dated started me on Jim and Pepsi, soon I dropped the Pepsi if I wanted a drink. If I am in a sippy mood, I will pour it over ice or in a casual environment, I will drink it with Pepsi.
I think I started just to see the bartender's face... girls normally don't order whiskey straight :)

damn straight because gin tastes like nail polish remover (and yes, i've compared)...but i also don't like tequila at all because it tastes worse than gasoline (again...yes, i've compared), but i still have JD in my collection because my roommate is mexican and loves cuervo.

HEY
Gin is wonderful stuff, especially Tanqueray or BeefEater.
Great for a snack any time of day!

I'll second that, although I've never actually had Beefeater. I've always seen it on shelves at home, but never really bothered to try it.
Gin-wise, I'm partial to Bombay Sapphire, although Tanqueray is very nice and smooth...

Doesnt matter what I drink, but it has to be straight from the bottle and not to cold, preferably warm.
P.S. Mixed drinks are for loser. No offense given, none taken.

OK . . . my favorite drink list . . . not in any particular order
- Dry Vodka Martini (Grey Goose or Ketel 1) - w/ a twist
- Blended Scotches with Perrier (Johnnie Black or Dewars - and of course Johnnie Blue, but without the soda)
- Single Malt Whisky
- Cognac and Armagnac
- Gin & Tonic (Bombay Sapphire or Hendricks - can even stand Gin Martinis with Hendricks - it's a new gin)
- Apple Martini - tried these suckers for the first time a couple weeks ago after reading the article about them in the NY Times . . . pretty darn tasty!
- Black Russians
Yum . . . I'm going to "Whisky Fest 2000" tonight . . . tons of GOOOOOD free Single Malt . . . can't wait . . . hehe . . . my father being a liquor salesman DOES have some perks :)
