Getting shot down... (MAJOR Suckage)

Well, I went after the captain of the cheer squad this morning, only to get shot down. Damn she's fine. I thought I was supposed to make the move when it went beyond flirting, guess not. The response I got was "Well, it's not that I don't like you, because I do, but I sorta wanna be single for a while. Sorry.". I hate this feeling.

I hate to generalize...but...the captain of the cheerleading team is probably more interested things like social status, parent's money... she probably likes you, but not enough to overcome your lack of something you cannot control, and thats why she flirts so much with you.

hmm...i adked a cheerleader out once (i think there was only one) in high school. we had been good friends, and it had progressed into flirting, and then it progressed into more than flirting (basically everytime we were hanging out together alone it ended up with the two of us kissing...even at school; there were some interesting stories about that), but when i asked her out she still said no. i was pretty hurt and all because i figured i had risked it all just to be shot down...but she still had no objection to continuing the proximity of the relationship, which is when i realized she was a playerette or something...so i took off. i only spoke to her about school things after that.

I don't know about you guys, but all the cheerleaders at my school where BUTT ugly. All the fine girls played sports like tennis, soccer, vollyball, and what not.

Well.. I've been through this before.. In fact not too long ago. Met a girl.. we became best friends.. Told her I liked her.. She didn't want a boyfriend. We started messing around.. Then she just stopped talking to me.. Then I stopped talking to her.. the she started calling me again.. Started talking to her again.. then she stopped talking to me again.. I think she fell for me and got scared.. but most of the time I'm wrong so I probably am.. Below is a post I put on another message board that kinda fits what's goin on..


Being a male and had having female friends whom I became attracted too sucks.. Because as soon as you build an attraction and the female finds out.. she's either:
a) Flattered and attracted as well, but never acted on it because she didn't think you felt that way.

b) Discusted because she doesn't think of you that way and now is not your friend.

c) Now feeling awkward because she thinks you are a great friend and now knows things will never be the same.

d*) Fuvked in the head and decides to take your weakness for all it's worth and use you on a daily basis until she has no more use for you, then doesn't talk to you anymore, but knows that you'll still try to keep communication, but then when the communication stops wonders why the guy doesn't keep talking to her, so decides to re-instate the communication because she finds out that she does have feelings for you, but as soon as you offer to go out or something, stops talking again because she's not all there and really needs to go see a psychiatrist because she's got some major emotional issues going on that she doesn't want to share, but instead keeps it inside and in turn hurting people around her.

*Note: Has NOTHING to do with anyone I have ever known whatsoever.. nope.. not me.. haven't had this happen to me or anything.. =0)
