Did I get this right?

Clever, if that works post it and I'll sign onto Amex.

I guess you couldn't lose with this if AMEX would pricematch. AMEX would credit you $220 on your card so you are only out of pocket $29.99
Then you just have to sit back and hope that cyberrebate comes through with your rebate. That's the only way that you would make money on this deal

Cyberrebate will come through with their rebate. I have four orders totaling well over $1000 and got all my rebates. It is slow, about 3 1/2 months. I will make another order this week.

Does anyone know the conditions of pricematching with Amex? I have a blue card and would like to do this if it works. I know cyberrebate is good for their rebates too. I think I've spent over 1,500 there... and have gotten all of my rebates.. I usually forget them and one day in the mail, I get a couple of checks. Also whats the limit for amex pricematching /year?

$1000 limit per year and I understand the Internet price matching will be going away at the end of the year. After that Amex will only price match B&M stores.
That's a brilliant idea about Cyber Rebate but don't be surprised if Amex catches on and rejects the claim. I've had bad luck with their price matching so far. They have an insurance company that handles all the claims and their primary objective is clearly to find excuses not to pay.

Wow! I got the same level for $89 (already got the rebate).
How does cyberrebate make money?

They won't pricematch against coupons or rebates...
Right now they'll pricematch against anything else. I think I'm getting close to my $1000 limit! :) It's gonna suck when they quit pricematching against online stores!! (it's 12/1 they switch over, not 1/1/2001).

Duh, he's not saying you pricematch the rebated price of free; you take the price you PAID for it originally from CyberRebate ($249.99) and match that with the price somewhere else ($29.99), then take the difference for a pricematch. This is without even considering a rebate.
AFTER doing this, you THEN get your rebate from CR.
This is basically taking advantage of the fact that CR charges WAY too much for their stuff, I guess so they can make $$$ off investing it or interest before they send you your rebate.
