It used to be that I could go into that forum at the end of the day, post up a few notes, and laugh a little...but now...my skin crawls as i read the "hey ****" and the "haha" posts...

I see your point though. I've been lurking on these boards for a while, and I was annoyed to see the over zealous use of CAPS, and all the crap about nipples and inside jokes.

Now, I ain't against people coming here. We were all newbies, yada yada yada, but seriously:

a) lern ot tyep. Tahts' realyl annoyign.
b) How many apex members are there now? Does someone feel like they have to have a "Hey ____" for every goddamn one of them?
c) There should be a limit on the number of posts a day or hour or something...this is freaking ridiculous. And all about stupid shi-at.

well, i've been around since the site started. so i hope i'm not one of the one's you're speaking of, pro =)

but i also know how you feel. i remember a long-as$ thread i wrote about how i felt the whole atmosphere of the gotapex forms have changed from friendly, and fun, to KILL! KILL! KILL! now i guess, it's changed to "i luv you, you luv me....AHHHHH!!!!!"

but hey, i look at it as:

The forums were definitely better back in the day, but at least this is better than a few months ago when you were taking a risk of being burned at the stake each time you posted. Reminds me of the election, picking the lessor of two evils.

hey, no one who has replied in here has been on my "hit list"...yet. Heh heh. I chose to put this message in here because I noticed that I've never seen any of "them" post in this forum, and coincidentally...as you might've noticed...it is where i do 90% of my posting these days (which is pretty odd because there are about 1/50th as many topics each day...). I just can't stand a few people...like...5 or so. Oh well...can't live with them, can't smother those of them all the way out in Pennsylvania...

Being a new member myself I just want to say I don't appreciate a drastic change in tone either. I lurk in a forum/newsgroup, sometimes for months, untill I think I have a feel for the kind of people posting and the etiquite used in the forum. Jumping into the forum with a group of friends using your own rules from a different forum is just downright rude.

Sorry for butting in, but it just bothered me too.

why be sorry for "butting in"? You did no such thing... You're not being rude or anything. You're just going along with the conversation and keeping pace. I have no problem when people disagree with me...or even make fun of me in the forums; I'm not a fan of an elitist two-class system for the forums. Everyone is equal on the boards, but I just don't like that odd little takeover that happened in OT...

well, looks like everyone's had a long tough week. i know i did. spent most of halloween puking on the side of the freeway...sad thing is that i don't drink. so spent the next two days in bed, by myself of course. and ended the friday with a great ton of paper work. so let's just enjoy the good weekend up ahead, and not turn this place into a battle zone.

i want the mean wave back... if any of you remember, i entered the community with that wave, but i was a lingering element. actually...was it my whole elitist staples coupon that pissed a lot of people off and made them mad? i'm not sure. i should study up on my gotapex history.

Hmm, it's funny how the tone of these boards has changed the last few months. I joined at a time of hostility then left for a few months and here we are back at it. I agree there is a lot( notice it's 2 words, btw) of worthless posts in the OT forum. It takes twice as long to sift through all the topics to even find one worth reading and posting on.
