I have intel and linksys myself but I have heard that 3com cards cant be beat as far as ease of installation and performance.

I would recomend a Netgear 10/100 card. They are less expensive than 3Com but still have the quality. Of course 3Com is the best but Netgear is close enough for half the price.

Go Plextor with the CDRW.
(Sometimes I think I work for them)
just make sure you get the 40x plextor along with it.

The only network cards I would ever buy are 3Com or Intel, especially if you're running NT4 or Win2k.
For the CD-RW, I personally prefer HP.

i got the plextor burn proof, ill test it out and tell you how it goes. unfortunately plextor reccomends that you install the writer by itself on the ide controller. this is a lose lose situation if you have a cdrom also. if you put the cdrom on the hd, it will slow the hd down. if you put the cdrom as a slave on the cdrw, there is a chance burnproof will be ineffective. thats kind of false advertising. this means ill probably stuff a new ide controller under my agp card :(
