I just bought a new hard drive and going to install it soon. What I was wondering was if I needed to do any formatting to the HD before installing it. It's going to be a second hard drive that I"m using for extra storage, so I won't be installing any OS or programs on it. Thanks

You can use boot up disk and from there, format your new hard drive. Don't forget to set it to "slave". :)

Thanks dodo,
I have one more question, and I hope I'm not asking too much, but I have 2 computers setup here, one is a router, the other is my daily use computer. My router is currently running on a quantum 7.5 gig hd, and my daily use computer is on an IBM 15.8 gig hd. My new quantum is the 30gig 7200 from buy.com. I would really like to have the speed of the quantum on my daily use computer, but I also like to have alot of space on my router so I can queue a bunch of downloads on that one without lagging my other computer. Where would you recommend I put the new HD? thanks!
