Brewing your own beer is quite exciting. I'm waiting on the wort to cool down to 70 degrees F right now so that I can add the yeast. After this, I'm gonna have to wait a week for fermentation and then another 4 or 5 weeks after it is bottled! That is just too long for me! I want to drink mah beer now!! :D

It gets easier waiting. Well, it does when you having the brew rotating. You know, fill the bottles, wait 4-5 weeks, empty bottles, sanitize bottles, fill bottles...

:D

Did you make an amber, stout or ale?

This is my first attempt. Hopefully all goes well. It is an amber cerveza mix. I have some ideas for future customized brews... :D

One of my favorite beers is Oasis Oatmeal Stout, so I was trying to think of ideas that would enhance that flavor...

ummm.. well as long as it is smooth with very little bitterness left on the tounge, you have my vote. Stouts have to be very smooth for me to drink them.

I want to go for a subtle apple flavor with a hint of cinnamon. Nothing tart like hard cider. I think it sounds yummy.
