Geforce2 or Geforce DDR

I have seen a lot of different Geforces out lately and I am confused. People tell me that the Geforce II MX is better than the Geforce. but When i go to online stores I see that the Geforces are more expensive than the Geforce II MX. The reason for the price difference is because the Geforce is DDr ram while the Geforce II is not. So I was wondering if it makes a difference on which is better. I mean is the GEforce IIMx better or the Geforce DDR ????
