To suck or not to suck?

Group vote: Does this suck or not suck?

Last night I am studying for a marketing test this morning. And around 11 or so, I get this strange phone call from a chick with horrendous phone manners. She just starts idley talking with me while she's eating, asking questions like "What does the L stand for in your middle name?" Then she abrubtly asks if I want to go on a date. I have NO idea who this is. At first, I thought it was my most recent ex.

"Nora, cut it out."
"Who's Nora?" <in a perterbed voice>

"Uh...sorry, I'm not sure who this is. I thought you might be an ex. Who is this?"

"Who do you think it is?"

And we play this guessing game for a while. I thought she might be a girl or two I met this weekend in an alcohol induced stupor. Nope.

She then states that her name is Katie, her friend in the background was also named Katie.

"Who are the most beautiful Katies that you know?"
I dodge the question.

I know lots of katies, but I don't know of any two that hang out with each other.

Then she says that she has to walk the dog, but she'd stop by in 5 minutes.

No one shows up.


I'm confused. I just got hit on by someone who has horrible phone manners and shows stalking psychotic tendancies. Is this good or bad?

Always the worst. You NEVER want to agree to an evening/afternoon/morning with someone unless you're absolutely sure who it is. That's just setting yourself up for a really uncomfortable experience.

At least she didn't stop over. Psycho hose beasts on my doorstep put me in a bad mood every time.

I don't think comfort level would play into this...I'm pretty relaxed in dating situations. I'm still good friends with most of my ex's.

But I was pissed that she said she was coming over without an invitation. My apartment and bedroom were a wreck, and my roomate was lying on the couch scratching his nuts...(not kidding)


I think she'll call back tonight or tomorrow...I'm going to find out who that was...

I think it was someone just TOTALLY PRANKING you...no woman(decent woman) in her right mind would play silly little games like that and be serious about it. As far as her or whoever stopping by..next time they announce they are going to..tell them *great-I have a kitchen and a bathroom that need cleaning after last nites throwing up binge-you wouldn't mind helping out would you?*...You'll know soon enough if they are being complete *******s right then and there. Any REAL friend or anyone even remotely interested in you FOR real WOULDNT HESITATE to come over regardless. Even if it was just to bust your balls while you clean.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not to wrapped up in this. I think it's pretty damn funny so far. (And who said I cleaned?)

'REAL' women will do ALMOST ANYTHING TO GET THE MAN THEY WANT! it's that southern thing.

I don't play guessing games on the phone. I'm too paranoid. If they won't tell you who they are, hang up. If it is someone who actualy gives a damn about you, they will call back and probably appologise for being such a jerk.

I totally agree with this. I dont have time to play games like this, I might slip and say something I could regret.

Maybe someone is trying to catch you slipping and get you caught up.

Still nothing from the "girl" that called me. I'm not too disappointed, she didn't give me the impression that she was terribly interested. It doesn't bother me when strange people call me. I'm relatively muscle bound if they want to pull something strange, plus I have three roomates that are in the same condition.


Besides, I'm kind of sick of women right now after my whole mono scare.

Ew, winamp is playing Celine Dion. How the hell did THAT get on there?
