I just noticed a new free firewall that is available from http://www.comodogroup.com/ . The Comodo firewall got a very good review at PC Magazine (http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1895,1969225,00.asp). With the demise of the free versions of Kerio and Sygate, this might be worth checking out.

ZoneAlarm fell off my list (I had 6 months left on a Pro version) when it stopped working with my Comcast and/or cable modem service. With ZoneAlarm (Pro or free), my download speeds drop to below one third of what they should be, and everything just lags (especially my boys' Counterstrike games). IF ZoneAlarm works ok you your system, it's a fine product. In my case, they just threw up their hands and said "not our problem".
