Best Way of Installing another Version of Nero

on the Same computer. I just bought a version of Nero which has dual layer support. The older version works great for movies and I would like to keep it.

I have a SCSI boot hard drive and an IDE accessory hard drive. Can I just install the later version on the drive which currently does not have Nero? I have heard bad things about the latest versions of Nero. I want to make sure it works before I delete the earlier version.

Or could I just rename it and put it in another folder? Either way, wouldn't the registry know that the earlier version is on the computer?

I think it does want to uninstall old versions, but i couldn't find proof that it does it on its own or asks you. I am pretty sure it would ask you but not 100% perhaps others would know.
And besides, there are most programs not made by MS that are ok if you run different versisons on the same system. The registry just makes another folder for the new program. It doesn't stop and say, hmmm this guy is named similar to the last guy...
What version are you using and do you want to use?
I 've heard that 7 is an all-in-wonder that has a bunch of programs for ripping, burning, converting, and does amazing things, but its also almost a gig or something huge... But i've been told its worth it.

I tried 7 and went back to 6-something. (last version...6.2 I think)
I didn't like 7...it's too bloated and full of stuff I don't use. Why do I need media players with my disc burning software? :confused: I've already got like 40 others. :heh:

I usually just install one version over another and don't uninstall...seems like it's good enough at overwriting the previous version and copying the new one over (this is based on my experience with 6 though...when I tried 7, I did uninstall 6 but I don't know if it's mandatory or not or if they can be run in unison on one machine).
