Folks, do NOT miss out on this one.  This hard drive costs about
$250-$350 everywhere else.  Dell OEM'd this Western Digital Raptor 150GB
10000 RPM S-ATA hard drive with 16MB buffer, and is selling it for just $162,
with FREE shipping.  I don't know how long this will last, but I'm guessing
not long at all.&nbsp; <b>

Most likely a price mistake. :(

Could they have disabled anything on the HD, or reduced some aspect of functionality like they do on some of their other hardware or software (ie features on their OEM video cards)?

Or at least they use to. I haven't bought a PC or parts from Dell for 3 years.

I highly doubt it - it would cost $$ to change the production of the drives, and to what end? Most likely they did what Dell always does - buy them in such massive quantities that the price is lower than anyone else.

Dang, and I paid more than that for the 72GB version! What to do, what to do....

It looks like they caught this and "fixed" it, or ran out of stock. The link goes to a page not found. :(

No, normal functionality on the HD.

It's back, but the 10% discount is no longer there. $180 is still amazing though.
