So I'm a huge Mets fan and had the tremendous opportunity to attend NY Mets Fantasy Camp this winter in Port Saint Lucie. The final component to camp was a reunion at Shea Stadium this June. On Sunday the 4th, we were on the field and introduced prior to the Mets game v. the Giants. On Tuesday the 6th we had a chance to go back and play on the field at Shea -- family and friends in attendance.

While batting practice didn't leave me with a warm fuzzy feeling (I was lunging and not letting the ball come to me), the game results were better, as I singled to right on the first pitch I saw.

I waited until 40 to go to camp for the first time and the experience couldn't have been better.

Here's a shot of the magic at-bat.

Man oh man. What fun that must have been! I'm totally jealous.

Do they let woman do these camps?

Nice cleats...Mizuno are the best.

Thanks for posting.

Women are allowed. We had one my week (a birthday gift from her husband) and a couple others for week one.

I love the Mizuno cleats, too. The best IMHO.
